» Smile design is a medical procedure creating Smiles, according to all standards of aesthetics and the physiological function of the oro-facial complex. The working protocol differentiates greatly in comparison with traditional practice in Dental Medicine. To create a smile, the dental doctor has to take into consideration the location and distribution of teeth, the aesthetics of the visible mucous membrane, the symmetry of the face and lips, as well as the correct ratio of all. Due to the specificity of the procedure, there is a preoperational phase, determining the final result.
» At the first visit, after the patient has taken the decision to undergo a procedure for betterment of the smile, as a requirement we appoint X-Ray and regular photography, as well as, the so called Wax-up imprint. Wax-up, also known as the project of the future smile is prepared in a laboratory and takes between two and three weeks. The project is the most important preoperational phase. It is used for analysis by the dental doctor and after its creation we are able to prepare a final treatment plan.
